Hazardous Materials Technician for Industry

5-day/40-hr. course

The Hazardous Materials Technician, Industry 40 hour class was designed to help employers train employees to the Hazardous Materials Technician level as described in the Cal-OSHA found in Title 8 CCR 5192(q)(6)(C).

This course prepares the employee to recognize and respond to hazardous materials incidents within their facility. Following the employers safety guidelines and hazard assessment, the Industry Technician is trained to don and doff chemical protective equipment, use air monitoring instruments, perform containment and control operations, decontamination operations of responders and rescue.

This course includes a reference text, classroom presentation, table top exercises, hands-on practice and a practical application exercise.
