HAZWOPER Training is Crucial in Keeping Companies Compliant and Safe

Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) is a blanket term that refers to government-mandated hazardous waste operations that are conducted in the US under OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.120 and Cal OSHA Standard Title 8 CCR 5192. Among currently existing OSHA standards, HAZWOPER is one of the most sensitive and highly ranked in terms of importance. So for any company that deals with these operations on a regular basis, the proper HAZWOPER training is paramount to achieving OSHA compliance.

To assist companies in becoming compliant with this OSHA standard, with the least amount of financial and operational expenditures, Global Training and Compliance, Inc. offers FRA, FRO, 24, and 40 hour HAZWOPER training courses designed to teach as much as possible regarding the hazardous waste operations that make up HAZWOPER. Training topics include clean-up operations required by federal, state, or local governmental bodies, operations involving hazardous waste conducted at treatment, storage, and disposal (TSD) facilities, and emergency response operations for substantial threats posed by hazardous substances.

Our HAZWOPER training courses can be arranged as on-site, hands-on training or held at our location. We pride ourselves in specializing in several forms of environmental, health, and safety training in order to ensure that clients receive only the best and most current courses available throughout the industry.

There are definite benefits to customizing HAZWOPER training and other OSHA-required training courses. We invite companies to contact us to discuss specialized training courses and options tailored to suit their needs. With Global Training and Compliance it’s certainly not a problem.

Fire Extinguisher Training

The training system we utilize is state of the art which provides the same firefighting experience as conventional methods, but in a “Greener” and “Safer” manner. The fire extinguisher system senses where the student aims and sweeps the compressed air and water Smart Extinguisher and varies the flames automatically. The SmartProp provides a realistic flame pattern, but also requires that students use the proper technique for the flame to extinguish.

With the SmartProp Technology, we utilize propane and water and generate “NO” hazardous waste from the use of standard dry chemical powder with saturated hydrocarbons. This provides for a more environmentally friendly way to provide the same fire intensity with little to no impact on the environment.

All training complies with the provisions of the California Code of Regulations Title 8 Section 6151(g)(1)-(4), Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations 1910.158(g)(1)-(4) and AQMD requirements.

Lockout/Tagout Training

Approximately 3 million workers in the United States on a daily basis, face extreme risk from uncontrolled energy when servicing machinery. Serious injury or death can be the result. Typical non-lethal injuries include fractures, lacerations, contusions, amputations, puncture wounds, electrical shock, and falls The average lost time for injuries runs approximately 24 days. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) estimates that approximately 120 fatalities and approximately 28,000 serious and 32,000 minor injuries each could be prevented if proper lockout/tagout procedures at job sites are initiated. This Lockout/Tagout Training Program ensures that the hazards of uncontrolled energy are evaluated, safety procedures implemented and that the proper hazard information is transmitted to all affected workers. It is easy to edit with your company specific information.
These courses meet Federal OSHA requirements under 29 CFR 1910.147.
